Bike City Card: 1 Ticket - 4 Mountains

From 25th May 2017, mountainbikers und ‚downhillers‘ can look forward to even more downhill fun in the Bike City of Innsbruck. With only one ticket, the Bike City Card, all trail areas around Innsbruck can be explored. This includes the trails at the ‚Nordkette‘, the Bikepark Innsbruck in Mutters / Götzens, the Bikepark Tirol in Steinach as well as the ‚EinsEinser Trail‘ in the Stubaital valley. Once the trails in Axamer Lizum are complete, these will also be included with the ticket. The Bike City Card can be bought for one to five days and permits visits of more than one area per day – in addition to usage of the trails, the adjoining lifts are included for unlimited use with the Bike City Card.

The Bike City Card is unique in that a ticket can be bought for one to five days but it needs not to be validated immediately – usage can start up to seven days from the date of purchase. This means the mountainbiker has absolute flexibility and can react to current weather conditions. This includes using all trails around Innsbruck on each and every day. For instance, it is possible to work out the EinsEinser trail in Neustift im Stubailtal in the morning whilst going across to the „Home of Crankworx“, the Bikepark Innsbruck in Mutters and Götzens, in the afternoon to cycle on the tracks of the professionals. Another option might be to start the day with „Crazy Heart“ and „Red Devil“ in the Bikepark Tirol in Steinach at the Brenner and conclude the day watching the sunset at the Nordkette.

Extensive opening hours on Wednesdays at the Bikepark Innsbruck and on Fridays at the Innsbruck Nordkettenbahn, both until 8pm, allow those who have spent a relaxing day in the city sightseeing or shopping to swing around on the bike in the evening and enjoy just another couple of downhills.

A day pass can be purchased from 36€ from all participating mountain stations and the Innsbruck Tourist Information Centre. More details can be found at the Bike City Card website www.bikecity-innsbruck.com.
