From Arlberg to the Kitzbühel Alps, from Außerfern to Osttirol: the well-being of their guests is paramount to Tirol’s accommodation providers. Consequently, in addition to newly opened accommodation in summer 2024, investments will also be made in the renovation and expansion of the predominantly familyrun businesses. Family Resort Buchau · Achensee
Beautifully ensconced between the mountain peaks of the Rofan and Karwendel mountains and Lake Achensee, Familienresort Buchau is set to open a new wellness area with infinity pool and sun deck in May 2024. The children’s water world and private beach directly on the shore of Lake Achensee are also being expanded. Guests will be able to look forward to relaxing in spherical loungers and comfy recliners by the lake. New suites, above all the exclusive penthouse suite, will also ensure future magical holiday moments.
Walchsee Lakeside · Kaiserwinkl
Lake Walchsee in Kaiserwinkl is set to welcome a superb new hotel. Walchsee Aktivresort is adding 22 luxurious suites with the highest level of comfort, exclusive facilities and a direct location on the lake with its Lakeside annexe. The hotel’s own restaurant offers a lavish breakfast buffet in the morning and fine dining in the evening, all accompanied by views of the lake. The “Move & Relax” programme offers a varied exercise programme in nature and in the resort, as well as a relaxing relaxation programme.
Henri Hotel · Kitzbühel
84 rooms in seven categories, from Petite Cabinets to XL Studios, are accommodated in the new Henri Hotel in the immediate vicinity of Kitzbühel railway station. Guests can look forward to a welcoming retro style with warm hospitality and modern comforts. The hotel kitchen serves a hearty breakfast in the morning, a Tirolean ‘Marend’ or snacks during the day and a latenight drink in the evening. Guests can also relax in the small Henri Spa & Gym with sauna, steam bath, indoor pool and gym after a day in the Kitzbühel mountains.
Posthotel Lechtal · Lechtal
New name, new look. From summer 2024, the traditional Hotel Neue Post in Holzgau will be transformed into the fully renovated Posthotel Lechtal. Regardless of whether you prefer small and cosy, or exclusive with unique panoramic views: the host family Hammerle cares deeply about the well-being of their guests, which is why the rooms have been extensively renovated and modernised. Relax in the alpine spa with sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin and heated bench with Kneipp pool. What hasn’t changed, however, is the high quality cuisine of the hotel’s own restaurant, which is a member of the Tiroler Wirtshäuser and Naturparkwirte Lechtal-Reutte group.
Hotel Föhrenhof · Lechtal
The family-run Föhrenhof is centrally located in the Tirolean Lech Nature Park region and has been extensively renovated and extended in recent months. From summer 2024, guests can look forward to modern rooms in the accustomed welcoming atmosphere and choose between comfortable rooms or spacious suites in Tirolean country house style. The spa area with sauna, infrared loungers, steam bath and heated bench is available to all guests, along with the restaurant serving regional and seasonal specialities.
Das Central · Ötztal
Wellness suites with private spa, penthouse suites spread over a generous 105 m2 or junior suites with panoramic views: 31 renovated rooms and suites offer a luxurious holiday experience at the 5-star. The Summit Spa is also new in summer 2024, where you can indulge in the essential pleasures of relaxation across 2,000 m² – including an infinity pool with summit views and a whirlpool with its own sun terrace. Culinary delights await guests at Das Central, run by the Falkner family, with daily new creations from the restaurant kitchen, which has been awarded three toques.
Aqua Dome – Tirol Thermal Spa Längenfeld · Ötztal
The popular Aqua Dome in the Tyrolean Ötztal celebrates its 20th birthday in 2024 – and is using this as an opportunity to invest in major refurbishments of the restaurant and bar. The lobby, bar and fireside lounge have been given a whole new look and feel to coincide with the new summer season, as has the entire hotel catering area. Some four million euros were invested, and the five restaurant areas are now a beautiful blend of the natural surroundings outside and a contemporary ambience inside. Each area is designed with a different colour scheme and materials, and guests can indulge in culinary delights in the “Green Meadow”, the alpine “Enzian” or the typical Ötztal “Cranberry”.
Hotel Engel · Tannheimer Tal
A new staff building and a more natural and inviting hotel for guests – is the focal point of Hotel Engel in the Tannheimer Tal in 2024. In addition to the new team building, a comprehensive renovation of the Aggenstein and Landhaus rooms (a total of 24 out of 98 rooms) is planned, as well as refurbishment of the hotel bar and expansion of the lounging facilities in the spa. Guests can therefore look forward to a new, even more heavenly holiday feeling from mid-June 2024.
Der Lermooser · Tiroler Zugspitz Arena
Eight rooms with 26 beds, a modern communal kitchen, a welcoming waiting room and a kiosk that is also open to nonresidents – all this and more can be found under the roof of a listed railway station in the small village of Lermoos in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. The LERMOOSER is somewhere between a hotel and a bed & breakfast, in a homely and comfortable style that accommodates singles and families alike. All this can be found at the foot of Mount Zugspitze, in the middle of a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers and nature lovers.
New holiday flats and apartments
BIGSEVEN holiday apartments · Kitzbühel Alps – Pillerseetal
The new BIGSEVEN holiday apartments are centrally located at the foot of the Buchensteinwand with the imposing Jakobskreuz in Tirol’s Pillerseetal. Highlight: the private balcony sauna with views of the surrounding mountains. The two “Panorama” and “Panorama Luxe” holiday apartments are fully equipped and offer plenty of space and creature comforts. On request, services such as bread roll service or mountain railway tickets, guided activities and equipment hire can be booked directly on site.
Kurblhof Leutasch · Region Seefeld– Tirols Hochplateau
The recently renovated Kurblhof in Leutasch offers plenty of space to feel at home. Young hotelier Theresa Klimitsch already successfully runs the multi-award-winning Bio-Landpension Monika opposite. She has now expanded her range of services with the addition of an organic wooden house. Seven comfortable apartments with clay and silver fir walls are housed in the Kurblhof, powered and heated by geothermal energy and photovoltaics. All units have a kitchen and sofa bed, while the top floor features saunas and a relaxation room with views of the Kurblhang. A farm shop with organic specialities from the region, massage room, yoga and exercise room and a large natural garden complete the facilities on offer.
SoLu Appartements · Region Seefeld– Tirols Hochplateau
From summer 2024, the former Sonnhof in Mösern will be reopening with a brand new name and concept, after being taken over by Sonja Kluckner and Lukas Schmutz. The SoLu apartments in a quiet and sunny location feature nine flats in three categories and are suitable for up to three people. The hosts describe the style as a combination of modernity with a rustic twist. Guests will feel at home and enjoy nature in a comfortable and welcoming at-mosphere.
Haus Aerli · Tiroler Zugspitz Arena
Simple and unpretentious on the outside, airy and clear on the inside – welcome to the new Aerli, a small residential and apartment building in Ehrwald. Large panoramic windows, local materials, a façade made of natural wood and three pitched roofs represent the modern interpretation of a Tirolean hay barn. Guests can rent three holiday apartments for two to four people, or the whole house and enjoy a homely retreat with sauna, swimming pond and small library.
Peeralm · Wipptal
The Peeralm in the Wipptal Valley will be completely renovated, modernised and expanded from summer 2024 onwards. The familyrun mountain hut, situated at 1,663 metres above sea level, will also offer fresh and regional Tirolean delicacies. Thanks to a familyfriendly access route, the ‘Alm’ is ideal for families with children – with a choice of comfy double and family rooms as well as a dormitory.
Wolf Apartments · Wipptal
Wolf Apartments Wolf Apartments will be welcoming guests to its four holiday flats from summer 2024 in Padaun, a beautiful high valley at 1,600 metres above sea level in the North Tirolean Wipptal. Situated in an exceptionally peaceful location surrounded by nature, the four apartments offer comfortable and fully equipped retreats for nature-loving mountaineers. If you book in advance, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner at the neigh-bouring Berggasthof Steckholzer.
Feiserhof · Wipptal
An old farmhouse in Navis in the Wipptal Valley has been completely renovated and will soon be welcoming guests (adults only) in three holiday apartments known as ‘Stadl’. Situated at 1,500 metres above sea level, the Feiserhof is the ideal destination for mountain sports enthusiasts. The holiday apartments are furnished in modern style, fully equipped and all have a balcony or terrace.
Zellrooms · Zillertal
The new Zellrooms in the centre of Zell am Ziller in the Zillertal valley impresses with its special concept. You see: for every night spent in an apartment, Zellrooms plants a tree. The hosts’ fundamental concept is simple: everyone can make a small contribution to a sustainable approach to nature. As a result, the four newly built holiday apartments for two to four people are not only stylishly furnished and fully equipped, but also created in accordance with a sustainable philosophy.
