Preparations for the Stubai Ultratrail 2025 – powered by SCOTT – are in full swing. In just 50 days, the starting gun will fire in Neustift, marking the beginning of one of the most spectacular trail running events in the Alps, which will take place on 27 and 28 June 2025. The realignment with start and finish in Neustift in the Stubai Valley is met with great enthusiasm – over 1,000 runners have already registered for one of the five challenging distances. Among them are top athletes who have already run the legendary Stubai High Trail and are now competing for the first time in a direct competition on this demanding route.
The new central start and finish area in the centre of Neustift will ensure that the Stubai Ultratrail – powered by SCOTT – will not only be a sporting highlight, but also a real trail running festival.

“The new routes with the Stubai High Trail are a real milestone for the event. The response has been overwhelming and shows that the Stubai Ultratrail with its high alpine character has a special attraction for the scene,” emphasises Adrian Siller, Chairman of the Stubai Tirol Tourism Association. “By relocating the start and finish area to the centre of Neustift, we are creating a unique atmosphere for runners and spectators.”

The German SCOTT athlete Jana Klaiber is also looking forward to this atmosphere and the trails. She says: “I will tackle the 60 kilometres at the Stubai Ultra and am very much looking forward to the new course this year. Running in the Stubai Valley with this mountain backdrop is always something very special.”
Three Stubai High Trail runners will be there
The race will be particularly exciting for three top athletes who have already run the Stubai High Trail independently – outside of a race. These are: Daniel Jung, multiple participant in the Ultratrail World Tour from Italy, Alexander Hutter, winner of the Stubai Ultratrail 2024, and Christian Stern, also former winner of the race. They know the hardness and beauty of the route. Now they want to know which of them is the fastest on the competition course.

“The Stubai Ultratrail is a competition with a unique character – high alpine, technically demanding and with spectacular views. This realignment makes it even more appealing,” says South Tyrolean Daniel Jung.
Local hero Alexander Hutter adds: “Here in the Stubai Valley we have a backdrop that is second to none. The new routes with start and finish in Neustift combine the best trail running elements in the region and will provide unforgettable moments.”

Christian Stern is also looking forward to the showdown: “For me, the Stubai Ultratrail has always been a personal highlight. The new concept takes the race to a new level – challenging, spectacular and full of emotions. I’m excited to see how well I do compared to Daniel and Alex.”
With five different distances, the Stubai Ultratrail 2025 offers the right adventure for all trail runners – from the 80 km long high trail route to the Stubai High Trail to the 15.5 km long Sunnenseit’n Trail for beginners.
