The KAT100 by UTMB®, Austria’s longest and arguably most extreme trail run, will return to the Pillerseetal from August 6 to 8, 2026. Following a record-breaking edition in 2025 with more than 1,500 athletes from 57 nations, the race for starting places is on once again. The KAT100 by UTMB®, Austria’s longest and arguably most extreme trail run, is back. Following a record-breaking 2025 edition with more than 1,500 athletes from 57 nations, demand is higher than ever – and the race for entries starts again this September.
A Challenge for All Levels
Alongside the iconic 100-mile distance, the 2026 program will once again include the Endurance, Marathon, and Speed races, as well as shorter routes for beginners. The KAT100 is designed for both world-class trail runners and ambitious amateurs seeking an unforgettable mountain adventure.

Registration in Two Phases
Registration opens on September 23:
- Phase 1: Runners with a valid UTMB Index
- Phase 2: Two days later, open to all athletes
