Electric Mountain Festival 2026: Sölden once again becomes the dance floor of the Alps
Last updated on 17.04.2026
Over 50,000 visitors experienced the Electric Mountain Festival in Sölden, which once again proved itself as a vibrant hub of electronic dance music from 13 to 18 April 2026. For six days, the entire ski area hosted more than 15 international acts across eleven venues as both the Main Days at Giggijoch and the Premium Parties were completely sold out. International top acts like Lost Frequencies, Lilly Palmer and Timmy Trumpet underscored the scale of the event and its role as one of the leading event formats in the alpine region.

Festival galore across the entire ski area
The special vibe was in the air right from the start of the event. Truly exclusive Festival Specials and Premium Parties throughout the ski area, as well as a spontaneous community pop-up party at over 3,000 meters altitude on Gaislachkogl peak, transformed the ski area into a sprawling dance zone. A new addition was the street food parlor in the self-service restaurant, which complemented the culinary offer with “Sexy Fries” and modern street food creations. Premium cooking art – from the VIP Area serving Sushi & Beats on the Main Days to culinary highlights at the Premium Parties – has long been a fundamental part of EMF. This very special style underscores Sölden’s long-standing commitment that EMF is not just conceived as an event, but has been consistently developed and established as an ultimate experience for over a decade.
International top acts beyond 3,000 meters altitude
International stars like Lost Frequencies, Timmy Trumpet, Lilly Palmer and James Hype presented high-energy sets throughout the ski area. The festival reached its peak on the Main Days on Thursday and Friday, when the XXL Main Stage at Giggijoch became a spectacular open-air dance floor in spring-like temperatures. The Main Day, which sold out online already in advance, confirms the strategic direction of Ötztal Tourismus and Bergbahnen Sölden Mountain Lifts. This strategy was consistently pursued with the new ticketing system, putting a clear focus on enhancing top-notch visitor experiences and creating a more immersive festival atmosphere. A fact that was clearly appreciated by the community.
“It’s not AI”: Lost Frequencies and the magic of Ötztal mountains
Belgian superstar Lost Frequencies provided a truly memorable moment at the festival. His exclusive set at ice Q at an altitude of over 3,000 meters, nestled against the spectacular backdrop of Gaislachkogl summit, impressed even the well-traveled DJ. On his social media channels (over 1.4 million followers), he captioned photos of his gondola lift ride and skiing on Tiefenbach Glacier using a simple: “It’s not AI, guys”. A statement that perfectly captures the experience in Sölden and a setting that seems almost too good to be true.
Strong positioning for late winter season
With over 100,000 followers on its official Instagram channel, the Electric Mountain Festival has long since matured into an international brand. This is also reflected in the mix of visitors: fans from around the globe travel far to enjoy great sunshine skiing and electronic music in a unique setting . The exclusive festival merchandise is also in high demand as the first pieces sold out very quickly. Thanks to absolute snow guarantee, high alpine highlights and exceptional event formats, the festival succeeds in keeping the season emotionally charged well into April. “The EMF is a strategic impulse, combining international appeal with tourism revenue. We have been developing this special event format for over a decade. The fact that we now boast sold-out Main Days and a level of quality that attracts global stars like Lost Frequencies is the result of this long-term strategy,” explains Oliver Schwarz, Managing Director of Ötztal Tourism.
While the ski season is drawing to a close in many other ski resorts, Sölden is setting a clear highlight with the Electric Mountain Festival and impressively demonstrates the powerful impact of combining alpine winter sports with an international music and event experience.
From 12 to 17 April 2027, Sölden will once again become a unique, high alpine festival destination.
