20 Years of Ellmi’s Magic World

Ellmau/ Hartkaiser. More than 1,600 visitors gathered on 19 July 2026 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Ellmi’s Magic World at Hartkaiser in Ellmau. Although the weather was uncertain on the day of the anniversary celebrations, many guests and invited dignitaries made their way to Ellmi’s Magic World to enjoy a family festival filled with varied activities, enchanting attractions, and a special meet-and-greet with Ellmi himself.

A family festival full of magical experiences

For 20 years, Ellmi’s Magic World at Hartkaiser has delighted families from the region and visitors from around the world. What began in 2006 as a magical adventure park in the mountains has developed into one of the area’s most popular family attractions. Generations of children have joined Ellmi on exciting adventures, solved magical puzzles, and discovered the unique world of Hartkaiser.

To mark the anniversary, the Mountain theme park became a meeting place for young and old Ellmi fans on 19 July 2026. More than 1,600 visitors took the opportunity to explore the magical world and celebrate two decades of unforgettable adventures.

The anniversary family festival offered a wide range of activities for guests to enjoy. Visitors could try their hand at gold panning, go pony riding, watch a magician perform close-up tricks, have fun in the bouncy castle, and, of course, celebrate together with Ellmi in person.

During the official address at the Kaiserlounge Restaurant at the mountain station, Managing Director Klaus Exenberger reflected on the importance of the attraction:

„Seeing Ellmi’s Magic World continue to inspire so many families after 20 years fills us with great joy. Its success shows that nature, activity, and imagination are timeless. Ellmi has brought smiles to the faces of generations of children, and this is something we want to continue in the future.“

Alongside Managing Director Klaus Exenberger, the celebrations were attended by Hannes Winkler, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bergbahnen Wilder Kaiser GmbH, and Ellmau Mayor Nikolaus Manzl. Long-standing partners and companions of Ellmi’s Magic World were also invited, including Walter Edinger (Edinger GmbH) and Thomas Adamer (Entertaining.at), who have supported the attraction since its early days.

A special thank you goes to the landowners and everyone who has helped fill Ellmi’s Magic World with magic over the years and continuously develop it with new ideas. The team at Bergbahnen Wilder Kaiser GmbH also deserves heartfelt thanks, as their dedication makes it possible to create memorable experiences for children and adults every day. Special recognition goes to Victoria Wagner, Assistant to the Operations Management, who has played a key role in shaping the continued development of Ellmi’s Magic World since 2022. With her talent for storytelling, she creates new adventures and puzzles and develops lovingly crafted short stories that allow children to take a little piece of the magic of Hartkaiser home with them. This also includes the recently published anniversary book, which is available in the souvenir shop.
