‘Hiking Special’ during hiking autumn
During the autumn festival days in See, guests get to enjoy two full weeks of a hiking and a pleasure-filled programme which offers something different every day. The maxim for the first week, 5th to 12th September, is ‘Hiking Special’. The variety-packed programme includes pleasure-packed excursions to the traditional Versingalm and Larein Alpe, and a circuit hike around the Silvretta reservoir. On 9th September participants head off on a ‘pleasure-packed circuit’ through the town of See, experiencing a very special journey through time. In various hotels along the route, dishes that are typical of ‘old’ Tyrol can be sampled. Beekeeper Gottlieb Jehle shares his knowledge on 11th September during an interactive bee hike.

The ‘Classic’ during hiking autumn
The second week of the autumn festival days, the ‘Classic’ from 12th to 19th September, has something special to offer too – the welcome evening on Saturday, 12th September marks the start of proceedings, which this year takes place in the guise of a concert on the square. On Sunday, 13th September there is an informative and exciting smugglers tour from Ischgl into Swiss Samnaun, in the tracks of old border smugglers. On a hike to Versingalm on Monday a traditional cheese dish can be sampled, while on Tuesday you head across the wonderful meadow path through the sunniest villages in Tyrol, then on the Wednesday nature guide Ingrid and forest ranger Rudi explain to our guests the benefits of the woodlands for people and animals. The culinary tour of See promises pleasure-packed experiences and on 17th September participants hike from one station to another to enjoy aperitifs, starters, intermediate courses, mains and desserts. Anyone who wants more can take a look into the cooking pots of our star chefs on the Friday at the cookery show.
