Glacier white in Hintertux
Austria’s unique all-year skiing resort
is kicking off the glacier autumn of 2018 with high spirits and sparkling ideas. The modern lifts and cable cars at up to 3,250 m above sea level on the Hintertux Glacier guarantee maximum snow fun with minimal transport and queuing times. The first winter sports fans can look forward to magnificent views and up to 60 km of perfectly prepared powder-covered slopes and an awesomely shaped “Betterpark Hintertux”!

Living tradition in the Tuxertal valley
The “Rebellion” concert on 7 September 2018 in Finkenberg provides the warm-up for the autumn cattle drive weekend. The mountain sheep and Haflinger horses are brought down into the valley from their “summer residence”, the Berliner Hütte mountain hut, on 8 September 2018. Folk music star Marc Pircher will be entertaining visitors in the accustomed manner in the festival grounds. The 30th Hintertux Oktoberfest is being held from 28 – 29 September 2018. On Friday the “Freddy Pfister Band” will be getting people in party mood in the marquee in Hintertux, and on the following day there’s a large farmers’ market in the festival grounds, with the festively decorated cows coming down from the Bichlalm back into the valley. The festival celebrating one of Tirol’s most beautiful and traditional cattle drives is brought to a fitting conclusion by the music group “The Grenades”.

Autumn holidays for glacier fleas tired of school
Tux-Finkenberg offers holiday action, fun and adventure for all ages, all in one place. ‘Luis’ the Glacier Flea is looking forward to meeting lots of playmates at his Gletscherflohpark at 3,250 m – probably the highest kids’ playground in Europe!
The Almspielerei on the Eggalm was opened in the summer of 2018 and Pepi’s Kinderland on the Penkenjoch has been enhanced with new attractions such as the low ropes course, suspension bridge, etc. TUX Worlds, with various new themed trails and worlds such as the Gorge World and Animal and Plants World, give entertaining insights and guarantee fun, action and all sorts of experiences for young and old alike!
But even if the weather’s not so good, there’s no reason for sad faces because the Playarena in Tux-Vorderlanersbach – an indoor play area measuring 1,000 m² – has everything to keep children happy and entertained and new friends are made in an instant.
