(Long distance) hiking in the heart of the Alps.
Tirol opens up to reveal a fascinating mountain world to hikers and mountaineers: visitors roam through low, undulating mountain ranges, conquer multi-day hut-to-hut tours, embark on pilgrimages or hike along unique river landscapes. Whether mountain hiking, trekking or pleasure hiking: everyone will find their ideal route on over 24,000 kilometres of marked hiking and mountain trails.
The Eagle Walk, Tirol’s best-known long-distance hiking trail, traverses 410 kilometres between the Kaisergebirge and Arlberg, Venediger and Grossglockner mountains, encompassing hundreds of summits, over 30,000 metres of elevation difference and thousands of magnificent views.
