So, why will skiing in the sunshine be an experience in Ischgl 2019? In the Silvretta Arena the best snow conditions await on 239 kilometres of pistes, up between 1377 and 2872 metres altitude, with snow-assuredness until the start of May, superb firn runs incl. valley runs and plenty of different freeride runs. Add to that plenty of sunshine, a nurtured après-ski culture and in April the best ambience, with five big open-air events in the ski area. Whether it is the 22nd Chefs’ Star Cup, where international elite-level chefs do battle on skis out on the pistes and with wooden spoons at the stove, the 11th Gastronomy Ski World Cup, or three superstars within nine days performing on the open-air stages in the Silvretta Arena; in April in Ischgl there are five big events on the go. Anyone who is set to enjoy their 2019 winter holiday during the last two weeks of the season in Ischgl will experience three free, mega concerts in the ski area – on Easter Sunday 21st April Johannes Oerding will make his Ischgl debut at the ‘Top of the Mountain Easter Concert’. At the Spring Snow Festival on 28th April exceptional artist Sarah Connor will perform on the Alp Trida stage (Samnaun). While on 30th April, at the spectacular end of the ski season in Ischgl, rock legend Lenny Kravitz will play on the legendary Idalp stage at the traditional ‘Top of the Mountain Closing Concert’.
