Ischgl kicks off the winter with Jason Derulo

The 2018/19 ski season in Ischgl is now open, marking the start of the winter in the Alps. On 24 November, good piste conditions along with an open-air concert featuring superstar Jason Derulo and breath-taking stage show wowed 18,000 season opening visitors – a successful start to the season!
On 24 November, Ischgl celebrated the start of the winter season at its ‘Top of the Mountain Opening Concert’ with hits from superstar Jason Derulo. Before the backdrop of the Alpine lifestyle metropolis of Ischgl, the artist got the audience in the mood by performing his most successful songs such as ‘Colors’ (the official Coca Cola anthem of the 2018 Football World Cup), ‘In My Head’, ‘Swalla’ and ‘Whatcha Say’. The multiple platinum award-winning artist put on a breath-taking show with an elaborate stage set, video clips, six dancers and his five-part band, guaranteeing some unforgettable moments for the 18,000 season opening visitors.
Cross-border skiing is now available from Austria to Switzerland up until 1 May 2019. New this winter: the world record 6-seat Gampenbahn E4 chairlift (featuring images of the animals of the mountains on the seats, e.g. the ibex, chamois and eagle), the stylish ‘Ischgl Slope Food’ self-service restaurant at the Gampenbahn valley station and the newly built Gampenalpe ski lodge at approx. 400m from the valley station of the new Gampenbahn. Ischgl concerts in April
On Easter Sunday, as part of the ‘Top of the Mountain Easter Concert’ on 21 April 2019, Johannes Oerding will be making his debut in the middle of the ski resort on the world-famous 2,320m high Idalp stage (from 13:00) and performing his famous songs ‘Kreise’, ‘Alles brennt’ and ‘Heimat’ in his unique voice. At the International Spring Snow Festival at the Alp Trida on 28 April 2019, Sarah Connor will be performing her top hits in the Silvretta Arena. And at the ‘Top of the Mountain Closing Concert’ on 30 April 2019 Lenny Kravitz will rock the stage from 13:00. The 54-year-old talented musician will be performing classics such as ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way’, ‘It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over’ and ‘Fly Away’ as well as the title track from his new album ‘Raise Vibration’. Ischgl’s high-altitude location means that winter sports fans can enjoy perfect conditions along the 239 km of pistes in the Silvretta Arena, complete with spring temperatures, up until 1 May 2019.
