High-Bike Testcenter Paznaun kicks off the motorbike season

The only cross-brand motorbike test centre in Europe kicks off its 9th motorbike season on 1 June 2019. For this, more than 40 motorbikes built in 2019 by manufacturers BMW, KTM, Triumph, Yamaha and Aprilia are waiting on avid motorcyclists in Ischgl. The bikes are available until the end of September for all-day test rides on around 30 mountain pass roads in the Alps. Event-Highlight: the “Top of the Mountain BIKER SUMMIT” from 26 to 28 July 2019.

From 1 June until the end of September, motorcyclists can swing themselves onto the saddles of around 40 test bikes in the “High-Bike Testcenter Paznaun” and conquer the Alps on 30 mountain passes and thousands of bends. “With by now 14,908 rides since the opening of our test centre eight years ago, hundreds of motorcyclists have already found their dream bike here with us in Ischgl”, Andreas Steibl from the Tourism Association Paznaun – Ischgl rejoices over the positive feedback. This summer, the latest bikes by the brands BMW, KTM, Triumph, Yamaha and Aprilia are waiting in Ischgl, ready to be taken for test rides.

Exciting motorbike tests in the “High-Bike Testcenter Paznaun”
Between 1 June and the end of September, around 40 of the latest bikes are ready in the “High-Bike Testcenter Paznaun”, serviced with Motorex products and fitted with Metzeler or Pirelli tyres by manufacturers BMW, KTM, Triumph, Yamaha and Aprilia for all-day test rides. Multi-day packages with the same vehicle are not possible. The test bikes can be picked up daily from 8:00 to 10:30, and returned from 16:30 until 19:00. On request, navigation devices are available for some vehicles with 14 different day trips in Tirol, to Bavaria, Vorarlberg and South Tirol pre-installed. Printed roadbooks with suggestions for tours are available. The daily test price of 100 or 120 EUR (without petrol) includes insurance with an 800 EUR deductible as well as all mileage. Savings tip: Guests staying overnight in Paznaun can rent their test bike at a reduced rate of 80 or 100 EUR by showing the “Silvretta Card all inclusive”. Didn’t bring your gear? 40 new test motorbikes of the latest generation
For winding test rides in summer 2019, forty of the latest bikes by the brands BMW, KTM, Triumph, Yamaha and Aprilia are waiting in the “High-Bike Testcenter Paznaun”. Available for testing from BMW are the new 1250 Boxer models – incl. the R 1250 R, R 1250 RS, R 1250 RT, R 1250 GS and the off-road and long-distance sister model R 1250 GS Adventure. The F 750 GS, F 850 GS and F 850 GS Adventure are also available for testing. For those who want to try out a six-cylinder BMW: The K 1600 GT is here. KTM is making its entire range of road bikes available for the High-Bike test riders: 690 SMC-R, 790 Duke and 1290 Super Duke R with the particularly powerful V2-engine, in addition to the 1290 Adventure S and the brand-new Adventure 790. The 690 Duke with its extremely powerful one-cylinder engine is also available. Triumph has expanded its range of models for 2019, in particular their Modern Classic-Bikes. Thus in addition to the Speed- and the Street Triple, the new, more powerful Street Twin, the Street Scrambler, and the Speed Twin featuring an engine by Thruxton as well as the Tiger model range are waiting for testers. Ischgl-Event-tip: The highest motorbike meeting in Austria
From 26 to 28 July 2019, the “Top of the Mountain BIKER SUMMIT” is set to transform Ischgl into the motorbike hotspot of the Alps for the fifth time. No matter if sport riders, Harley-cruisers or Scooter-friends – everyone is welcome at the highest motorbike meeting in Austria. Meeting point is at the Biker-Village at the Silvretta parking lot in Ischgl, where you’ll also find the “High-Bike Testcenter Paznaun”. On offer are motorbike tests by the hour in the test centre, breathtaking stunt shows with pro riders Julien Welsch and Sarah Lezito, motorbike cornering coaching sessions or guided rides. Highlights of the event also include thrilling shows by Danny Varanne in his Globe of Death as well as the live shows by DJ In-Style on Friday and the band Milestone on Saturday. Not to be missed is the now traditional hill climb on Saturday 27 July 2019, when several hundred motorbikes make their way up to the Idalp at 2,320 m altitude, followed by a Biker BBQ. The ride up to the Idalp is then blocked for private traffic and open only for participants in this event.
