Last updated on 22.10.2019
On 18th and 19th October visitors to Rotterdam enjoyed an interactive experience of the Ischgl winter at Schouwburgplein, in a gigantic ski helmet.
So what was a gigantic ski helmet doing in autumnal Rotterdam? On 18th and 19th October 2019 visitors were able to discover just what the reason was and experienced the Ischgl winter interactively and through multimedia at Schouwburgplein for two full days. And there were high-value, non-cash prizes up for grabs. The six metre high Ischgl helmet, measuring twelve metres in diameter, attracted the crowds. Visitors made the most of the opportunity to post selfies in front of the huge ski goggles to take part in the prize draw and to get information in the interior of this mega helmet about the various facets of Ischgl’s lifestyle. For instance, did you know that Ischgl has the highest density of hotels in the 4 to 5 star category in all of Austria, and with eight restaurants receiving an award from the gourmet guide ‘Gault&Millau’ and Guide ‘A la Carte’, has been named a ‘Mecca for gourmets in Tirol’? And that winter sports fans can find a total of 239 kilometre of snow-assured, cross-border pistes in the Silvretta Arena in one of the biggest interconnected ski areas in the Alps? Or that Ischgl’s legendary ‘Top of the Mountain Concerts’ are this year celebrating their 25th anniversary and that global stars including Pink, Elton John and Tina Turner have made their debuts in Ischgl? The winners of the ski goggle posting will be contacted in person. All information about Ischgl is available at www.ischgl.com.
