New Summer-Challenge in Paznaun

Good news for all athletes in the Paznaun-Summer: The Ischgl Ironbike, the Silvrettarun 3000 and the Silvretta Ferwall March will now take place daily in summer 2020. With the new Paznaun Challenge, selected racecourses can now be ridden, run on and thus tracked by app from 8 July until 30 September. And all participants stand a chance to win.

This year again, champions will be honoured in Paznaun. How is this possible despite some events having been postponed? With the new Paznaun Challenge, signposted routes of the Ischgl Ironbike, Silvrettarun 3000 and Silvretta Ferwall March can be ridden daily by mountain bike in summer, run/hiked on foot and tracked with the “Paznaun Challenge”-app. But the real kicker is: Not only the fastest participants have a chance to win premium prizes here. Everyone who successfully completes one of the Paznaun Challenge routes can win premium non-cash prizes every week. The winners of the main prize will be announced on 1 October 2020. The app for the Paznaun Challenge is available for free download from 8 July in the App Store for iOS and in Google Play Store for Android and will be active from 8 July to 30 September 2020. Track and win
Participation in the Paznaun Challenge 2020 for the Ischgl Ironbike, the Silvrettarun 3000 and the Silvretta Ferwall March is done easily with the app: Download the app “Paznaun Challenge“ and register; select route; on the indicated start arch, push the start button of the selected route to get the time running; in the indicated finish press the button again and the time will stop. Want to compare? By using the ranking list you can compare yourself to other participants. Those who complete the entire route by mountain bike/on foot will be entered in the draw. Every Wednesday, premium non-cash prizes will then be raffled off among all that week’s participants. On 1 October 2020, the three fastest participants in the Silvrettarun 3000 and the Ischgl Ironbike in the respective categories and routes will be named. Silvrettarun 3000 as a Summer-Challenge
With the “Paznaun Challenge”-app, trail runners can catch up on the postponed Silvrettarun 3000 in summer 2020, track their routes and compare their times with other runners. Weekly chances of winning included The following routes are signposted and available: Small (11.2 kilometres / 306 m climb) and Light (19.36 kilometres / 873 m climb). Start is at the start arch by the Silvrettabahn in Ischgl and finish is the sports and cultural centre in Galtür. Tip: On 18 July 2020, the original date for the Silvrettarun 3000, selected participants can line up for the start together with Austrian ski racer Michael Matt. Ischgl Ironbike as a Summer-Challenge
Postponed, but not cancelled: Those who want to relive the Ischgl Ironbike in summer 2020, can track their race with the “Paznaun Challenge”-app and compare their time with other riders. Weekly chances of winning included. For this, the routes Light (26.1 kilometres / 1,060 m climb) and Medium (45.3 kilometres / 2,395 m climb) will be signposted for mountain bikers. Start and finish is the start arch at the Silvrettabahn in Ischgl. Silvretta Ferwall March as a Summer-Challenge
The Silvretta Ferwall March will take place on 22 August 2020 in Galtür. In addition, in summer 2020 hikers can explore the original routes of one of the most scenic mountain walks in Europe every day with the “Paznaun Challenge”-app and track their route. Chances of winning included. The following routes are signposted and available: “Marathon-route” (42.195 kilometres / 1,955 m climb), “Ferwall-route” (32.7 kilometres / 1,199 m climb), “Silvretta-route” (19.2 kilometres / 618 m climb) as well as the “Family-route” (13.5 kilometres / 150 m climb). Start is at the village square in Galtür, finish is the sports and cultural centre in Galtür. Tip for e-bikers: E-Bike WC for Everyone as a Summer-Challenge
In summer 2020, the E-Bike WC-contenders can look forward to consolation for the postponed E-Bike WC for Everyone in Ischgl. Here, too, a route will be signposted in summer which can be tracked. The route provided for the E-Bike WC for Everyone is 25.8 km / 732 m climb long. Those who want to score a premium e-mountain bike of the brand BH on this route, exclusively raffled off among all E-Bike WC entrants, have to track the route between 8 July and 30 September 2020 using the “Strava app”. This is also available for free in the App Store for iOS and in Google Play Store for Android. Tip: On 15 August 2020, the original date for the E-Bike WC for Everyone, selected participants can line up for the start together with a famous athlete.
