Sun, snow & atmosphere: Spring skiing in the Stubai Valley

Last updated on 04.02.2026

On the Stubai Glacier, the largest glacier ski area in Austria, at over 3,000 metres, there is still enough snow for winter sports in May. In the Schlick 2000 skiing is possible until after Easter. In addition to the fun on the slopes, some other highlights await guests in spring: At the Ski & BBQ, winter sports enthusiasts can fortify themselves with delicious grilled dishes. The Freeride Testival combines the equipment test with exciting workshops, courses and opportunities for get-togethers. The STUBAI WILD RIDE, one of the most spectacular and longest giant slalom courses in the Alps, inspires both participants and spectators.

In the Stubai Valley, the ski season ends in spring weather. With the first warm rays of sunshine, winter sports become even more comfortable: While some make their turns on the perfectly groomed slopes, others take advantage of the good weather and the longer days for idyllic winter hikes. For the break, they go to one of the cozy huts. There, winter sports fans can relax on the sun terrace, indulge in culinary delights and enjoy the breathtaking mountain panorama.
