Stubai Ultratrail 2026 by SCOTT with a 100-kilometre distance

Last updated on 29.10.2025

The Stubai Ultratrail – powered by SCOTT – will start from 3 to 4 July 2026 with a big highlight: For the first time in the history of the event, there will be a 100-kilometre route to choose from – the new STUBAI 100. This means that the trail running festival in the Stubai Valley is growing by a prestigious distance and sending a strong signal for ambitious athletes in the Alpine region. As usual, the four proven distances STUBAI ULTRA, STUBAI CLASSIC, STUBAI EXPRESS and STUBAI SUNNENSEIT’N TRAIL are also available. The start and finish of all distances are once again in the centre of Neustift. The festival atmosphere, experienced close to the action, has proven itself and offers plenty of space for spectators, fans, supervisors and accompanying persons. Registration opens on October 31, 2025.

STUBAI 100: The new royal distance

With the STUBAI 100, the Stubai Ultratrail – powered by SCOTT – expands its portfolio with a demanding 100-kilometre distance and thus joins the ranks of the major alpine trail running events with “hundreds”. The route with 5,800 metres of ascent and descent leads through all five Stubai communities, over grippy meadow and forest trails, alpine passages with stone slabs, narrow paths and gravel paths that are physically and technically demanding. In terms of landscape, the STUBAI 100 spans the arc from rustic alpine landscapes, idyllic side valleys to the imposing Kalkkögel and the rugged towers of the Elfer to wide views of the glaciers at the end of the valley.

“With the introduction of the STUBAI 100, we are finally able to join the ranks of renowned trail running events in the Alps that offer a 100-kilometre distance. In doing so, we are not only meeting the wishes of many runners, but also positioning the Stubai Ultratrail as a modern, international trail running highlight in the Alpine region. We are convinced that this addition will establish the Stubai Ultratrail even more firmly in the scene and further strengthen it for the future. We are looking forward to lots of participants and rousing races!”, explains Roland Volderauer, Managing Director of the Stubai Tirol Tourism Association.

EPIC TRAILS. EPIC VALLEY.

The Stubai Ultratrail – powered by SCOTT – with the STUBAI 100 and the four other, already known distances will continue to be under the motto “Epic Trails. Epic Valley.” in 2026. From 3 to 4 July, a wide range of trail running runs will be offered: from compact adventure runs to the ultimate day adventure. The STUBAI ULTRA over 57 kilometers delivers a challenging ultratrail experience with a pronounced alpine character. If you are looking for the classic mixture of challenge and panorama, choose the STUBAI CLASSIC with 31 kilometres and striking highlights along the route. The STUBAI EXPRESS over 23 kilometres connects the wildly romantic Pinnis Valley with the STUBAI SUNNENSEIT’N TRAIL in a technically attractive way. This alone is a compact entry on the first day of racing. The STUBAI SUNNENSEIT’N TRAIL with 14 kilometres and iconic route passages, such as the suspension bridge over Neustift, completes the programme of the ultratrail weekend in the Stubai Valley.

Festival atmosphere in the heart of Neustift

All distances start and end again in the middle of Neustift in the Stubai Valley. This central location creates a lively, public-oriented event backdrop and transforms the town centre into a meeting place for the entire trail running community. In addition to the Expo Area with strong sports brands, a large video wall and music provide a real festival feeling. This allows spectators to follow the races up close and actively cheer on the athletes along the course as well as at the finish.
