Stubai Ultratrail with SCOTT as new main sponsor

When the Stubai Ultratrail (SUT) is held for the sixth time on 1 July 2023, it will be the first time with SCOTT as a partner. The internationally renowned sports brand will not only be represented with equipment in the exhibition area, but also with runners on the SUT routes. Once again, there will be five different distances for mountain and trail runners to choose from under the motto “city2glacier”.

The sixth edition of the Stubai Ultratrail offers participants and spectators something new as well as something familiar. New is partner SCOTT, already tested are the five routes that are on the programme at the SUT 2023 between 29 June and 1 July.

Experienced Partner

SCOTT has been active in the trail running sector for many years and consistently develops its running products. “When developing new products, feedback from athletes and runners is one of the most important parameters for us. Events such as the Stubai Ultratrail enable us to collect such feedback directly and use it optimally. One result of this is the “Ultra Carbon RC”. The year of the big running events

The fact that interest in trail running and outdoor running in general is growing strongly is also felt in the Stubai Valley. “2023 is the year of running events in the Stubai. At the beginning of June, we will be co-hosting the World Mountain and Trailrunning Championships with Innsbruck. In July, the Stubai Ultratrail with SCOTT will take place and then at the beginning of September, the international Schlickeralm Run in Telfes. We are proud and happy that the landscape of the Stubai Valley is so popular with runners from all over the world,” explains the chairman of the Stubai Tourism Association, Adrian Siller, enthusiastically.

Five Distances

The five routes of the SUT offer something for endurance athletes as well as for ambitious trail runners and trail novices. The classic, the Stubai Ultratrail K68, starts at one o’clock in the morning in the Olympic city of Innsbruck. Then it’s 68 kilometres through the night to the finish at the 2,960-metre Eisgrat mountain station on the Stubai Glacier. Three shorter races, also with a finish on the glacier, as well as the world championship proven STUBAI VERTICAL round off the programme.

The routes in the overview:

STUBAI ULTRATRAIL “city2glacier”: 68 kilometres, 4,700 metres of ascent, 2,355 metres of descent. Start 1 am, Innsbruck Landestheater. Finish: Eisgrat mountain station (2,960m)
STUBAI K32: 32.7 kilometres, 2,630 metres of ascent, 720 metres of descent, start at 9 am in Neustift. Finish: Eisgrat mountain station (2,960m)
STUBAI K20: 20 kilometres, 1,796 metres of ascent, 75 metres of descent, start at 10 am in Klaus Äuele near Falbeson. Finish: Eisgrat mountain station (2,960m)
STUBAI K9: 9 kilometres, 1,210 metres of ascent (pure mountain run), start: 12 noon at the valley station of the Stubai Glacier Cableways near Mutterberg. Finish: Eisgrat mountain station (2,960m)
STUBAI VERTICAL: 5.3 kilometres, 1,024 metres of ascent (pure mountain run), start: Thursday, 29.06.2023, 6.30 pm, Neustift village centre. Finish: Elferhütte (2,004m)
