One month after the start of the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships 2023 Innsbruck-Stubai – June 6 to 10 – organizer Alexander Pittl is taking stock. In addition, he presents the official World Mountain and Trail Running Championships highlights video, which summarizes the event\u2019s highlights.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEven a month after the WMTRC 2023 with around 1,300 athletes from 68 countries and more than 50,000 spectators, the beautiful and emotional impressions of the event are lingering in our heads,\u201d says WMTRC organizer Alexander Pittl<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over four days of racing, the world elite in mountain and trail running competed for the coveted world championship titles on four routes \u2013 the Vertical, the Trail Short, the Trail Long and the Mountain Classic. Sports enthusiasts who couldn\u2019t make it to the tracks were able to follow the nail-biting races via live stream. \u201cDue to the international nature of the starting field, the live streams were available in six different languages – German, English, Spanish, Italian, French and Chinese – and reached tens of millions of spectators around the globe, which makes us very proud,\u201d Pittl adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pittl continues: \u201cOver the past few weeks, Roast Media\u2019s video and film experts have sifted several hundred hours of material and filtered out the most delightful, exciting and emotional scenes. These were packed into a video of highlights that represents what the WMTRC 2023 was in the end, an event that entered the stage with a bang.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOnce again, we would like to thank everyone who made this major sports event possible. Institutional sponsors, the Tirol Tourist Board, Innsbruck Tourism, the Stubai Tirol Tourist Association, sponsors such as Volkswagen R, La Sportiva, Salomon and others have ensured that the WMTRC 2023 will only be remembered in positive terms. The official video aims to pay homage to the sport of running as well as the event itself, and to show how beautiful and uplifting it is to practice sport in nature,\u201d says Pittl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
