A highly innovative community format for the world elite of biking sports and their fans: all of this is combined in the first edition of BYND The Mountain taking place in S\u00f6lden in September 2024. Three days brimming with trail and bike fun, top-class contests featuring stars such as Sam Pilgrim, Casey Brown and Patricia Druwen as well as festival flair including music and side events will define this ultimate bike festival. Among the highlights is the Swatch Nines Public Day in the newly designed 20,000 m2<\/sup> Competition Area. The playground pushes the world\u2019s slopestyle and freeride elite to top performances.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its founding in 2015, the unrivaled BIKE REPUBLIC S\u00d6LDEN has been promoting its Community regardless of origin, age or ability. With BYND The Mountain, the most flowing nation of the Alps is going one step further in 2024. The signature event brings together the absolute world elite of the scene with their fans in the harmonious setting of a 3-day festival. The program includes top-class sports action, join-in activities for the entire community<\/strong>, beats provided by top acts<\/strong> such as Austria\u2019s drum’n’bass duo Camo & Krooked<\/strong> and partying with like-minded people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New competition area<\/strong>
The ultimate action of BYND The Mountain takes place on the event site at Giggijoch Mountain Gondola base station<\/strong> and in the Competition Area in the hamlet of Gr\u00fcnwald<\/strong> \u2013 where the ultimate highlight will be held at the Swatch Nines Public Day on Saturday, 14 September. The newly built, two-hectare course<\/strong> will have its baptism of fire when the world’s slopestyle & freeride elite push each other to new heights and perform amazing tricks. The English bike legend Sam Pilgrim<\/strong>, Germany\u2019s high-flyer Erik Fedko<\/strong> and local hero Peter Kaiser will be at the start. The female touch is provided by New Zealand\u2019s Casey Brown<\/strong> and German shooting star Patricia Druwen<\/strong>. Regular shuttle buses will take fans to the event site in Gr\u00fcnwald and back again.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comprehensive program<\/strong>
For three entire days, the event site will be a popular meeting place for all visitors. In addition to the Brand Area offering the unique chance to test the latest equipment, there will also be brilliant side events<\/strong> (bunny hop contest, e-bike challenge, etc.). The Signature Whip-Off<\/strong> is a true must-see, when the pros rip their bikes high into the air over a massive table-top jump. On Saturday evening, the musical main act – Austria\u2019s drum’n’bass duo Camo & Krooked<\/strong> – entices people to dance and party. The party night will be kicked off with beats by DJ Kristian Davideks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets & Festival Passes<\/strong>
If you want to combine a visit to the Swatch Nines Public Day with biking on the trails of S\u00f6lden, grab the “Bike, Nines & Beats” ticket as it combines a MTB ticket for the entire BIKE REPUBLIC S\u00d6LDEN, admission to Swatch Nines and the evening concert performed by the headliners. Only eyes for the stars and the evening party? Perfect, there is also a festival-only ticket. The VIP ticket includes catering and offers the best view of the action-packed contest area in Gr\u00fcnwald. VIP and festival-only tickets are available online and in advance. All other variants directly at the ticket offices of Bergbahnen S\u00f6lden.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

About BYND Festival<\/strong>
The Austrian BIKE REPUBLIC S\u00d6LDEN and Germany\u2019s Green Hill Bike Park in Schmallenberg (North Rhine-Westphalia) are working together as cooperation partners. The two nations also have joined forces when it comes to the BYND Festival. The festival premiered successfully under the title BYND The Hill in Germany in 2023. This year, S\u00f6lden will follow with the 2024 alpine version of BYND The Mountain. In future, the annual festival series will take place alternately in \u00d6tztal and Germany. What\u2019s best, the Contest Area in S\u00f6lden also remains a long-term infrastructure as one of the lines will be open to advanced riders from 2025 onwards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
