The 5 Tirolean glaciers are eagerly anticipating what is surely the longest ski season in the Alps \u2013 stretching from early autumn well into spring, complete with some exciting new features.<\/p>\n\n\n
News from the glaciers: new beginners\u2018 area and ski intersection<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
As we embark on a new winter season, several innovations await on the 5 Tirolean glaciers. In S\u00f6lden, a new piste intersection between the Gaislachkogl and Giggijoch ski areas will offer seamless transitions for skiers\u2014even on blustery days when other connections may be unavailable. Additionally, two new state-of-the-art eight-seater chairlifts, “Silberbr\u00fcnnl” and “Einzeiger,” will be operational from November. These lifts serve as vital links from the winter ski area to the glacier ski area, enhancing both comfort and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the Kaunertal Glacier, the new “Sonnenlift” will open with a generous practice area right by the glacier restaurant, featuring a new toboggan run. The Ski Beginners’ Area provides everything for a perfect (re)introduction to skiing, with a magic carpet and a beginners’ lift. Additional features such as a fun slope and tubing run promise enjoyment and variety. The new start is celebrated with complimentary children’s ski courses, available for children aged 3 to 6 on two dates in March and April 2026 (with a minimum stay of five nights in Kauns, Kaunerberg, Fendels, or Feichten).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Families also benefit from the new Family-Ticket at the Kaunertal Glacier: for a one-off partner fee of just \u20ac15, parents of small children can now share one ski pass, taking turns on the slopes while the other stays with the little one(s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Extraordinary glacier experiences at Nature\u2019s Ice Palace and high-flying breakfasts<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The 5 Tirolean glaciers offer so much more than superb skiing. Start of the longest ski season<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
During peak season, the 5 Tirolean glaciers together offer more than 300 kilometres of pistes above 3,000 metres altitude, served by 75 modern lifts and cable cars. The season begins on the Hintertux and Pitztal glaciers on 27th September 2025. The Kaunertal and Stubai glaciers follow on 3rd and 10th October, and S\u00f6lden too will launch its season in early October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those wanting even more, the Snow Card Tirol<\/em> offers access to more than 90 resorts across Tirol \u2013 including the 5 Tirolean glaciers. It is available for \u20ac1,169 and valid for the entire winter season from 1st October 2025 and 15th May 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
