Under a new name, with a familiar route and even more sense of community, the former “Wilde Grube Ride” will start in 2026 as the STUBAI WILD RIDE on the Stubai Glacier. After the successful premiere in 2025, the demanding course will remain unchanged and will once again become the toughest “giant slalom” experience for ski fans with endurance, technique and team spirit on April 18, 2026. In addition to the individual classification, there will be a separate team ranking. The registration for 2026 is open since November 1, 2025. The number of participants is limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The STUBAI WILD RIDE remains true to the character of the original “Wilde Grube Ride” and the motto “Epic Rides. Epic Valley.” After the flying start from the Wildspitz lift at an altitude of 3,210 metres, it goes over 6 kilometres in length, 920 metres in altitude and around 160 gates to the finish at the Fernau middle station on the Stubai Glacier at the Dresdner H\u00fctte. The course demands technique, endurance and courage \u2013 and that’s exactly why it remains the measure of all things in the Alps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our experience from the premiere has shown that the course is challenging enough and is a real challenge not only for amateur but also professional runners. In 2026, we will go one better with the new name STUBAI WILD RIDE and the additional team classification. In this way, we bring innovative elements into the race without changing the character of the challenge,” says Christian Rauter from the OC team of the STUBAI WILD RIDE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
