The four regions of Hohe Salve, Brixental, St. Johann in Tirol and Pillerseetal continue to promote sustainable guest mobility. Starting in winter 2025\/26, holidaymakers with the Kitzb\u00fchel Alps Card (guest card) will benefit from added value for car-free holiday planning, as rail travel in the region will be included in the guest card. Meanwhile, \u00d6BB is strengthening intra-Alpine connections with new InterRegio services, making climate-friendly travel to Tyrol easier, particularly via the Graz\u2013Innsbruck route (IR “Ennstal”) and for guests travelling from Klagenfurt, who will need to change at Schwarzach-St. Veit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The guest card serves as a ticket for rail travel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guests will receive their personalised Kitzb\u00fcheler Alpen Card from their accommodation provider. Depending on the establishment, this may be available in digital form prior to arrival. For the duration of their stay, guests can use selected \u00d6BB local and InterRegio trains in the Kirchbichl\u2013W\u00f6rgl\u2013Hochfilzen corridor (except IC\/EC\/Railjet). This makes getting around much easier \u2013 ideal for excursions, changing locations, and a relaxed holiday without a car.

New \u00d6BB InterRegio connections: Travelling from the south is now more comfortable!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the timetable change in 2025\/26, \u00d6BB is expanding its intra-Alpine transport services with a new InterRegio route network. Passengers from Styria and Carinthia will benefit from additional direct connections between Graz and Innsbruck, offering better services and more convenient journeys to W\u00f6rgl, the gateway to the Kitzb\u00fchel Alps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Werner Dilitz, \u00d6BB Regional Manager for Tyrol, said:<\/strong> ‘The new InterRegio connections mean shorter travel times, clear timetables and greater comfort. The high quality of the new timetable makes climate-friendly travel to the Kitzb\u00fchel Alps from the south more convenient than ever before.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
