The 5 Tirolean glaciers certainly spice up springtime: perfect sunshine and skiing on snow-sure slopes at altitudes of over 3,000 metres are complemented by oodles of fun, events and enjoyable activities \u2013 from the spectacular Hannibal show and the Secco Gondola to the Stubai Wild Ride. The glacier spring promises variety in abundance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Save Money as an Early Booker with a Bambini Ticket or a \u201c1 Ski Day Free\u201d Package<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As spring temperatures arrive, so do the opportunities to save money: early-booking discounts mean skiers can save up to 30% on online ski tickets for the Kaunertal or Pitztal glaciers, and up to 20% in S\u00f6lden and on the Stubai Glacier. There are also attractive packages to ease the travel budget. During the \u201cSun Free Promotional Weeks\u201d at the Kaunertal Glacier (13\u201326 April 2026), for example, discounted four-, five- or six-day ski passes are available exclusively through accommodation providers. The pass is also valid in Fendels and for one day on the Pitztal Glacier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the Stubai Glacier, the \u201cSpring Skiing 4=3\u201d offer runs into May, alongside the \u201c1 Ski Day Free\u201d package (18 April\u20132 May 2026). The principle is simple: ski for five days, pay for four (with further options 6=5 and 7=6). A tip for families: children under 10 ski free when accompanied by a paying parent. When the 5 Tirolean Glaciers invite you to enjoy sun skiing, there is plenty happening off the slopes too. S\u00f6lden takes centre stage with the Electric Mountain Festival (13\u201318 April 2026) and the extraordinary glacier production Hannibal. On 10 April 2026, the artist collective Lawine Torr\u00e8n stages Hannibal\u2019s historic Alpine crossing \u2013 featuring piste bashers, aircraft, dancers, extreme athletes and helicopters, all at 3,000 metres above sea level. The Electric Mountain Festival line-up includes Lost Frequencies, Timmy Trumpet, Salvatore Ganacci and Lilly Palmer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During \u201cK\u00f6lsche Week 26\u201d (21\u201328 March 2026), the Hintertux Glacier Open Air (27 March 2026) features performances by H\u00f6hner, Cat Ballou, Rabaue and Kl\u00fcngelk\u00f6pp. The live concert by OIMARA & Band on 18 April 2026 is another fabulous highlight. The Hintertux Glacier spring motto is \u201c40 days \u2013 40 events\u201d – with light-hearted highlights such as an Easter egg hunt on skis. Culinary adventures include \u201cSki Genuss Hopping\u201d (6 Spots \u2013 6 Stops) and the sparkling Secco Gondola ride to the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those looking to elevate their spring skiing with culinary flair, Caf\u00e9 3.440 on the Pitztal Glacier is the place to go. Here you\u2019ll find Tyrol\u2019s highest breakfast and the highest wine tasting (17 April 2026). You can even say \u201cI do\u201d at the region\u2019s highest registry office. A real insider tip is the guided ski tour \u201cThe Golden Trail\u201d, which explores the entire ski area in one sweeping route \u2013 with delicious stops along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Varied and action-packed sporting highlights await at the Spring Classics in Snowpark Kaunertal (11 April\u201325 May 2026). On 18 April 2026, the Open Faces competition delivers superlative freeride action. The season concludes with the legendary Kaunertal Ending KTE (23\u201325 May 2026), featuring spring sessions, shred time and numerous live DJ sets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Stubai Wild Ride on 18 April 2026 is another sporting highlight. It is one of the longest giant slalom races in the Alps, covering six kilometres and featuring 160 gates. Amateur skiers, seasoned pros and adrenaline seekers alike are invited to take on the challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
