The routes are suitable for hikers with some mountain experience and a good level of fitness, following easy-to-moderately chal-lenging paths through the mountains and valleys. Overnight stays are in comfortable valley hotels, so there is no need to carry luggage. Free mobility services, such as hiking buses and the Kaiserjet, are also available. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New digital storytelling trails \u00b7 F\u00fcgen-Kaltenbach Holiday Region<br><\/strong>New <a href=\"https:\/\/www.best-of-zillertal.at\/en\/summer\/hiking\/themed-trails\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">interactive hiking trails<\/a> in the Hochzillertal and Hochf\u00fcgen areas offer engaging nature experiences with eight to ten stations each. The \u201cFour Alpine Pastures March\u201d features a three- to four-hour story centred around the traditional \u201cAlmabtrieb\u201d cattle drive from mountain pastures, while the \u201cHubertus Wildlife Trail\u201d along the Zillertal High Alpine Road provides fascinating insights into the region\u2019s wildlife in about one and a half to two hours. Both experiences are available in versions suitable for children and adults. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SkyRide Ahorn: open-air gondola at 2,000 metres \u00b7 Mayrhofen-Hippach<\/strong><br>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayrhofen.at\/en\/stories\/skyride-ahorn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SkyRide Ahorn<\/a>, Austria&#8217;s largest cable car, now brings an alpine outdoor atmosphere straight to the mountain in Mayrhofen. The stunning gondola lift not only provides easy ac-cess to panoramic viewpoints but also transforms the mountain journey into an exciting experience with unobstructed views over the Zillertal Valley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Katzenkopf Circular Hike \u00b7 Seefeld Region \u2013 Tirol\u2019s High Plateau<br><\/strong>A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seefeld.com\/en\/tours\/katzenkopf-circular-hike.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new easy circular hiking trail<\/a> in the Seefeld region covers 8.5 kilometres and 285 metres of elevation gain, starting from the centre of Leutasch and looping around the Katzenkopf mountain. The route follows the track of the new high-altitude cross-country trail, which also functions as a forest road and now forms part of the circular route. The route offers a gentle, family-friendly ride with no major climbs. Numerous stops along the way \u2013 including the Kids Park Klaus \u00c4uele, climbing walls, and flying fox stations \u2013 add variety, while traditional inns invite riders to take a break. With the addition of the 19a feeder route, the cycling net-work will also create a continuous connection all the way to the provincial capital of Inns-bruck. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New cycling and hiking connection in Langkampfen \u00b7 Kufsteinerland<br><\/strong>From summer 2026, a 4.6-kilometre section across the Drei-Brunnen-Joch will extend the existing network of cycling and walking trails in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kufstein.com\/en\/activities\/cycling-mountainbiking.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kufsteinerland region<\/a>. For the first time, it will create a continuous link between the Tirolean lowlands and the Bavarian network of paths and open new cross-border routes from Schliersee and Tegernsee to Achensee. Around ten kilome-tres of newly constructed trail sections, combined with existing connections, create a seam-less top-to-bottom flow trail \u2013 the longest in Tirol. The easy to moderately challenging route has been designed according to clear, environmentally responsible trail-building standards and is complemented by wooden boardwalks, rest areas, and scenic viewpoints. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New biking experiences in Paznaun \u00b7 Paznaun-Ischgl<br><\/strong>With <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ischgl.com\/en\/summer\/silvretta-bike-arena\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new trails and tours<\/a>, Paznaun-Ischgl is consolidating its position as a versatile biking destination. In Ischgl, the blue H\u00f6llkar Trail adds six kilometres of downhill riding fun, descending 1,189 metres from the Flimjoch lift to the Silvrettabahn. A more demanding option is the new high-alpine SUR TUOT \/ DAVO DIEU connection between Ischgl and Scuol (28 kilometres, black difficulty), which crosses four mountain passes. In Galt\u00fcr, the beginner-friendly Kli Zeinis Trail and the technically more challenging Birkhahn Trail expand the net-work of routes. In addition, new Bike &amp; Hike routes to B\u00fcrkelkopf, Berglisee and Madleinsee, along with attractive e-MTB tours in Kappl, offer further varied experiences combining pan-oramic scenery, enjoyable riding and sporting challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New mountain bike route to Karlalm \u00b7 Mayrhofen-Hippach<br><\/strong>A new section of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayrhofen.at\/en\/stories\/bike\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MTB Tour<\/a> 458 Labergalm will soon expand the regional cycling network in Mayrhofen, offering a challenging new route for mountain bikers. The environmentally conscious route, graded as black difficulty, links Ramsau via Hippach to Karlalm in the Zillertal over approximately ten kilometres and 1,156 metres of elevation gain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pumptrack and Ninja Park Gr\u00e4n \u00b7 Tannheimer Valley <br><\/strong>Starting from summer 2026, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tannheimertal.com\/de\/ninja-parcours-im-funpark-gran-p6001\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Funpark Gr\u00e4n<\/a> in the Tannheimer Valley will feature both a pumptrack and a Ninja Park. The pumptrack offers routes suitable for all abilities \u2013 from simple sections for balance bikes to more demanding courses for skilled riders. Right next door, the new Ninja Park provides a variety of play and fitness challenges designed to improve coordination, strength, endurance, and agility. Both attractions are situated directly alongside the cycle path and are freely accessible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Mutzkopf Trail \u00b7 Tiroler Oberland \u2013 Nauders<br><\/strong>A new blue mountain <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nauders.com\/en\/Your-Nauders\/In-Summer\/Biking\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bike trail<\/a>, the \u201cMoods Trail,\u201d is currently being developed on the Mutzkopf in Tiroler Oberland. The 3.7-kilometre route runs from the mountain station down to the valley and is designed for less-experienced riders. The trail will expand the regional biking offer and provide a family-friendly downhill experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bike Park Zugspitze<\/strong> <strong>\u00b7 Tiroler Zugspitz Arena<\/strong><br>Starting in summer 2026, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zugspitzarena.com\/en\/activities\/biking\/downhill-enduro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bike Park Zugspitze<\/a> at the foot of the Wetterstein Mountains in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena will open with three new trail lines designed to provide riding enjoyment for riders of all ages. Featuring a flowing trail and a fast-paced high-speed route, the park caters to riders of varying abilities. The floating structure consists of modular climbing elements arranged like a low-ropes course above the water. Various difficulty levels provide action and fun for children aged six and over, teenagers, and adults alike \u2013 anyone who struggles with an obstacle will land safely in the lake. Combined tickets are available that include both the cable car ride and entry to the Ninja Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pfaffenbichl via ferrata \u00b7 F\u00fcgen-Kaltenbach Holiday Region<br><\/strong>The new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hochfuegenski.com\/en\/discover-experience\/the-ski-resort\/slopes-highlights\/via-ferrata\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pfaffenbichl via ferrata<\/a> adds another mountain adventure in Hochf\u00fcgen, Zillertal. Starting directly at the mountain station of the Waidoffen lift (2,431 metres), the route stretches 260 metres with 115 metres of elevation gain and reaches a maximum difficulty of grade B. The via ferrata can be climbed year-round, and equipment can be hired locally. The easy descent is made via a hiking trail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New \u201cSky Bridge\u201d on the Zimmereben via ferrata \u00b7 Mayrhofen-Hippach<br><\/strong>A 48-metre-long suspended rope bridge now adds an extra thrill to the Zimmereben via ferrata in Mayrhofen. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mayrhofen.at\/en\/stories\/climbing-via-ferratas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new \u201cSky Bridge\u201d<\/a> offers spectacular views across the Zillertal and is the first of its kind to lead directly into the garden terrace of the Zimmereben mountain restaurant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Routes at the Magerhart Climbing Garden \u00b7 Pitztal<br><\/strong>A new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pitztal.com\/en\/climbing-bouldering-pitztal.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">climbing garden in Magerhart<\/a>, Pitztal, will open its first routes in spring 2026. Over the course of the summer, the range of routes on offer will be gradually expanded, with the aim of reaching full capacity with around 50 routes in the same year. Along the 3.8-kilometre route between Maurach and Achenkirch, eight activity stations are being renewed and reimagined \u2013 accompanied by a fresh new look for the mascot, Wusel the Water Spirit. A new signage system and engaging background information on nature, water and regional topics will provide additional bonus features. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BEWEG DICH SCHLAU! Course by Felix Neureuther \u00b7 Mayrhofen-Hippach<br><\/strong>In Mayrhofen, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mayrhofen.at\/en\/stories\/mountopolis-funsportstation-penken\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new BEWEG DICH SCHLAU! course<\/a> has been added to the Mountopolis fun sports station on the Penken mountain. Developed according to the concept of former professional skier Felix Neureuther, the course features five training modules by Ravensburger that playfully encourage children\u2019s physical and mental development while inspiring motivation and a joy of movement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Outdoor Heroes and new Witches Learning Trail \u00b7 Outdoorregion Imst<br><\/strong>The Outdoorregion Imst will soon bring together its engaging nature education activities under the new programme \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imst.at\/en\/family-holidays-in-the-outdoorregion-imst.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Outdoor Heroes<\/a>\u201d. The concept centres on the story of a young eagle named Buddy, who forms a team of heroes with his friends and introduces children to the wonders of nature and the environment in an age-appropriate manner.
