BIG FAMILY Park & Powder Days

Last updated on 02.01.2024

Are you looking for more action and variation for your joint skiing days as a family? At the BIG FAMILY Park & Powder Days you can again learn from pros who to tackle rails, boxes and smaller or bigger kickers and how to expertly leave your tracks in deep snow slopes. Not only children and adolescents will have fun on 14 and 15 February 2024. Parents too, are called upon to join in, because there are some important tips from the coaches and guides to ensure that the youngsters’ adventures will be risk-minimised.

On the Park Day it’s the Freeski Austria Park Coaches that will show you how to aim high. Step by step, park skills are developed with the pros, from jumps and kickers to sliding over boxes and rails.

One of the participants is none other than freestyler Marco Ladner, who, as the youngest Austrian Olympic participant, is no stranger to many youngsters thanks to his videos.

On the second day, you will explore the terrain off the marked slopes with state-certified mountain and ski guides. In addition to having fun in the deep snow, it is also important that you know about the dangers and know how to use an avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe in an emergency. Thanks to the Powder Department Freeride Checkpoints and the Ortovox avalanche transceiver training station, this can be practised easily and playfully on the Stubai Glacier.
