The region presents itself with panoramic trails, exclusive camps, and top-tier events.

Guided trail runs, active recovery amidst breathtaking scenery, and insider tips from the pros – that’s what participants can expect at the exclusive trail running camps in the Pillerseetal from 5–8 June and 2–5 October. Well-prepared, they might even head for the season highlight: the “KAT100 by UTMB®” in Fieberbrunn! Even beyond scheduled camps and events, the region in the eastern Kitzbühel Alps proves itself as a true runner’s paradise.
From A for Active Recovery to Z for Zealous Runners: The Trail Running Camps
Upcoming and advanced trail runners alike will collect success stories – and plenty of elevation gain – during the exclusive camp from 5–8 June in the Pillerseetal. Among the team are ultrarunner Markus Reich and sports scientist Anna-Maria Wörndle, who will share valuable insider tips on equipment and training plans. On guided trail runs, participants will discover the region’s most stunning spots, followed by sessions of active recovery. To ensure optimal training progress and group dynamics, the camp is limited to just ten participants. The price of €825 includes three nights at the 4-star Hotel Grosslehen in Fieberbrunn with half board. There are even more reasons to return: one start slot for the KAT100 by UTMB® 2025 on 7 August will be raffled among all participants – a coveted entry into the prestigious UTMB® World Series. And from 2–5 October, another trail running camp will take place in the Pillerseetal.
“KAT100 by UTMB®”: Trail Running Event in Fieberbrunn
The season highlight will take place from 7–9 August in Fieberbrunn: once again, the Pillerseetal will welcome the trail running elite. The event kicks off with the “KAT100 by UTMB® (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc),” part of the prestigious UTMB® World Series, comprising 52 spectacular trail running events worldwide. The course for the 100 Miles Trail is nothing short of epic: spanning 173 kilometres and 9,929 metres of elevation gain, it is perfectly staged for an unforgettable race. Starting at 6 PM in Fieberbrunn, runners ascend to the summit of the Wildseeloder just in time for sunset, pass the illuminated Jakobskreuz during the night, and are rewarded with a breathtaking sunrise at the Kitzbüheler Horn.
Flowy trails, panoramic ridge paths, and rocky sections through the Kitzbühel Alps guarantee excitement even on shorter distances: 81, 51, 24, and 8 kilometres are available, ideal for beginners, leisure runners, and aspiring pros.
