New accommodation in Tirol for summer 2021

Last updated on 14.04.2021

Tirol’s hotels, campsites and the like are eagerly waiting to finally open their doors again this summer. During the lockdown many have been hard at work renovating their rooms and creating new highlights for visitors when they return. Health and safety, of course, continues to be the number one priority for both staff and guests. With the new situation created by the pandemic, many accommodation providers have not only developed comprehensive Covid-secure hygiene concepts but also come up with flexible cancellation conditions to minimise the financial risks of booking a holiday.

Covid-secure hotels and hospitality
All regions in Tirol have developed comprehensive Covid-secure hygiene concepts and flexible cancellation conditions to offer guests the greatest possible safety and peace of mind on holiday. Guests who have booked to stay in the Kufsteinerland region, the Wilder Kaiser region or the Hohe Salve holiday region can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled date of arrival. Flexible booking arrangements are also in place in the Kitzbühel Alps region. Depending on the accommodation, cancellations here can be made free of charge up to 2, 8 or 15 days before arrival. Quick and simple Covid-19 testing is available throughout Tirol. Staff in all hotels and hospitality locations are tested on a regular basis.
Some regions, such as Kitzbühel, provide safe alternative accommodation for guests who have tested positive for Covid-19, while others – for example St. Anton am Arlberg – use waste-water monitoring to assess local virus levels. Staff training is also essential. The Karwendel region uses the Safe Service app is to educate staff on correct social distancing, hygiene measures and contactless customer care.

The website www.welcome.tirol provides an overview of the number of cases in Tirol, updated daily, as well as information on travel restrictions currently in place, safety measures in the regions and details on what you need to know when travelling back to your home country.
